July Fix

Oh, No!  How does this happen!  We go over our calendars a thousand times (it feels like) and yet we still miss things.  This year we managed to leave off an entire day.  It probably wouldn’t matter all that much unless your birthday is July 31!  Then it matters!  Not to mention that time already goes by fast enough ~ we don’t need to be losing entire days.  I am so sorry.  So what do we do?

Since we can’t re-print the entire calendar to make the correction, we thought the next best thing is to give you a replacement July 31 you can print out for the part of the calendar that is incorrect. Just open and print this pdf file, cut it out, and tape or glue it on to your calendar. (Sort of like a kiss and a band-aid  to make the boo-boo better.  Sort of.  So sorry,  you know I never said I was perfect and this is just a normal proof in the pudding.) I promise to try harder.  xoxo

    • Roseann Copeland says:

That is hilarious Chris Thomas. Happy Birthday to you from Overland Park, Kansas.
Susan Branch, you made me chuckle after a long hard day. I have been a Franklin Planner user for years and can’t give it up. I have tried. Now if you could design for them… ???

  11. Cathy vroom says:

I at first assumed July ended on the 30th until making plans for that Thursday and was corrected when I called it August 1st. I love your calendar with or without the fix actually would be fun to use the 31 st as a volunteer day or a fun day a day for girlfriends to get together – the possibilities are endless

  12. Bonnie Trego says:

    Thanks I never saw this.

  13. Vivian Borgstrom says:

You are SO forgiven !!!! That’s going to be a play day !! the reason you are SO forgiven is because of the other 364 days on the calendar! I am SO glad there is this calendar in existence this year !!! My family will really like the fact that I don’t have anything to complain about this entire year to come! I really missed this in 2014 and let everyone know about it! LOL So…..thank you so very much for bringing it back ! I’m so excited about it that if I had a place for them, I’d buy a dozen more!!! Lots of love and hugs to you and your staff !!!!! Viv

  14. Vivian Borgstrom says:

I just checked my desk calendar and July 31 (and all the other 31’s) are there!
Which calendar are you talking about ?????? See? You are perfect in my book ! Hugs……

    • sbranch says:

Thank you! Fortunately we only have two more days and it won’t matter! But it’s the 2014, wall calendar, July 31 that is MIA.

  15. Laura says:

I just noticed this because my mom and dads anniversary is July 31st. I thought I’d lost my mind for a second there! LOL!

  16. Kathy Phenix says:

I didn’t miss July 31st. I just thought one less day to wait for my birthday on Aug 7th. That’s being a tad self centered!! Kathy

  17. Mimi Houston says:

Thanks, Susan! Love the patch…..LOVE YOU!!!!!

  18. Laura Terese Hiatt says:

Maybe leaving July 31st off the 2014 calendar will make it more collectable!

  19. Mary kate says:

    Your forgiven… <3

  22. Roseann Copeland says:

Susan, Mary Englebreit made a mistake on one of her new pieces. I wish I could post it here to share with you. So you see you are up there with the best of them. She recovered well and so did you. I love you ladies! Your beautiful!!

  23. Donna J says:

So important to keep July 31 in our calendar! Not only is it Harry Potter’s birthday, but it’s 11th birthday for our very special grandson, Cole.

  24. Richard says:

I’ve been stuffing my wifes Chrismas stocking with your wall calander for years. After tracking down and printing the patch for July 31, my wife won’t let me attach it. We’re having a thirty day July this year. Not all that important with such a beautiful calander!

  25. anita says:

I just noticed it when I was trying to find the 31st to find a Dr. appt. It did kinda goof me up!!! still love Susan but it did cause me some trouble! That’s life I guess!!

  26. Patti says:

Sweet fix. I didn’t find this out until I just got home from vacation. I googled “Susan Branch Calendar Error” and it took me right here. I didn’t know there was a SusanBranch.com! Anyway, no wonder I spent the last month wondering if there was or wasn’t a 31st of July!

  27. Caitie says:

Today is July 31st……. I was looking at my calendar and wondering what was going in….. There was no July 31st. I had to check my ipad. It made me giggle…..and realize it’s ok…everyone makes mistakes. I LOVE my Susan Branch calendar….even more with it’s missing day.

  28. L Diamond says:

Susan, you are a beautiful person and my mom and I love the missing day! Do it every year! xoxo

  29. Beth Caliguri says:

I thought I was going crazy! What? No July 31st this year? LOL Hey we all make mistakes and I love the fix. My mom bought me Heart of the Home when I got married in 1992 for our first home in MA and I would spend each night reading it and making the recipes. I fell in love and had to have ALL your books and calendars. Even after we moved to CA, I would not THINK of not having a year without your calendars. Thanks for all these years of beautiful, “comfy” art and delicious recipes.
Happy Summer and July 31st! Glad it didn’t go away!
    Beth :]

I’m sure I gave lots of people a run for their money this morning. If I was smarter about it I would have done it on April 1!

  30. Grace Patane says:

LOL! I got a little confused when I noticed it this morning!! No problem!

  31. Donna Sutton Cox says:

I kept trying to remember “30 days has September..” and I just couldn’t figure out how to fit July in with the 30 days. We had received a sale flyer ending July 31. I shared this with my husband and he looked at the calendar and said, “Well Susan Branch says there are only 30 days in July and she would never make THAT mistake so the flyer is wrong.” Alas…there are 31 days. So it’s a day to whatever! Maybe I won’t even get out of bed♥ It brings a smile and I can’t wait to get 2015 on my wall. Thanks for not being perfect♥♥

  32. Linda Maxwell says:

When I noticed, that poem ran through my mind. I don’t need the “fix” though. I work at an elementary school and have summers off. Early in June I told my girls I was going to take a day off to read, do nothing, and just vegetate. Then the next day I would feel guilty for wasting a day. No July 31st was perfect! When I saw that, I planned right then. I haven’t wasted a single day on the calendar. Thank you Susan!

  33. Jane Miller says:

We all forgive you the omitted July 31st. But what puzzles me is, did August 1st still get listed as on Friday so all the rest of the year is correct?

    • sbranch says:

Yes, thank goodness, otherwise we’d really be in trouble! Have you turned to check or are you just going to surprise yourself? 🙂

  34. Darlene says:

I love my Susan Branch calendar just the way it is which is perfect and thank you for the fix patch it’s cute!

  35. Darlene says:

Just wanted to add that I received all of my 2015 Susan Branch calendars and they are so beautiful! This year I ordered the blotter which I’ve never done before and I absolutely love it!! I don’t have a desk in which to put it on so that is why I never ordered it in the past but will hopefully get one soon so that I can put my blotter calendar on it and see it everday!

  36. Meggin says:

First May 4, now July 31 – oh Susan…can I pick which day you leave off next? How about ALLLLLL Mondays!? Nice to know I have a collector’s item hanging in my kitchen <3
