I’m Home

MUSICA I’m Home!

Just in time for Mini-Jack’s first Christmas!  We’re going off-island this afternoon for a book signing on Old Cape Cod, in Sandwich (1pm at Titcombs Book Shop in case you’re in the neighborhood) — but I wanted to say hello, and let you know (something many of you have been asking for) that we finally, hooray! put our Archives up! Look in the column on the right next to this post, scroll down and there they all are . . . links to all the posts I’ve done since the beginning, by month and year!  You never have to get bored with my blog-slowness again!

Oh yes, and be sure to look here under From Me to You with Love for new holiday computer wallpaper, writing paper, bookmarks and things you can download . . .

And now, for hme . . .  we made it back alive!  Such a relief!  And except for the supreme happiness I feel to sleep in my own bed and play house again, it’s as if we never went away.  It’s cold and crisp here, the streets are quiet, the tourists have all gone home, the downtown is decorated for Christmas, lights are everywhere, its beautiful in the woods out on our walk, and Jack never lets me out of his sight.  He’s here right now, next to me, sleeping on my art table.

Those are his paws.  I mean, really.  Kiss one, then kiss the other.

My girlfriend Elizabeth is here with her cousin Diana  . . . everyone is asleep upstairs right now.  I got Elizabeth those flannel jamie bottoms for Christmas a couple of years ago and I got me the same ones, so we are a very cute pair in the morning with our tea talk-talk-talking in the wood room, with Jack right there at all times.  Elizabeth, you might remember, is my dear California girlfriend who bought a little cottage here on the island last year, just down the street, and is remodeling it.  She comes to check on it and that makes me so happy.

Since I got home this house has been wildly Domestic, it’s all I want to do, it’s

I couldn’t wait to cook — So far I’ve made cold slaw, chicken soup with homemade stock, and we had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner last night — I’m about to go make a crust for the banana cream pie I’m bringing to a party tonight ~

I filled vases with flowers and ironed this made-for-Christmas cross-stitched table cloth I found in an antique store on our way home  . . . musica is playing and . . .

. . . Girl Kitty watches every movement.  She was so happy to see us, rolled over on her back for a tummy rub; she cuddles next to my legs at night.

We still have the cake that our Girlfriend Jane made and brought to our book signing in Oklahoma City!  This cake is too cute to give up and as long as it continues to look this cute, we need to have it on the table!  It’s a decoration now, but it also tasted like heaven.  Thank you Jane!

And while I put out Christmas things, hang bunting and banners and sparkly things in the kitchen, Jack keeps his eye on the bird feeders and the wild turkeys that have been coming to the yard every morning.

And while I make soup, Jack never takes his yes off me.  I’m so madly in love.

We’re here Girlfriends!  Things are getting back to “normal.”  My computer is plugged in, I have a printer again, I’m downloading photos, soon I get to start painting for our 2015 calendar . . . I’m back!  There’s news and I have surprises coming for you, but Jack is saying, “play with me” and I have to get to that pie crust before we go. I’ll be back!  Happy!  Thank you for coming along, see you soon . . . xoxo

Welcome Home! It’s been a long time and I feel for you that you need to nestle down in your home with your familiar things and dear kitties. I was disappointed when I called and found out that you were unable to find someone to print your large desk calendar this year, BUT I have a solution for me that has no space to hang one of your calendars. I bought a dollar store calendar and I am going to cut out the months of 2014 and glue them to my last year’s desk pad calendar. I think it’s a good idea. I will still see your artwork around the edge since I’ll be cutting the dollar store calendar smaller. I am in hopes I don’t have to do this every year and that you will be able to produce the calendar that has become dear to me. Happy Homecoming. Love is being sent to you and Joe and Kitties.

  2. Lisa Jorgensen says:

So happy to hear you and Joe are home. The kitties look very happy. I’m sure you are enjoying decorating for the holidays. I was decorating outside last weekend and a huge spider came crawling at me causing me to fall backwards and break my wrist! I am now in a cast for Christmas. Makes decorating very difficult. I’ll have to make the best of it, my husband has been a big help.
Enjoy the season, and your beautiful home.

  3. Heather L. says:

How lovely to be back home! I’m glad you are back in your cozy home for the beautiful holidays ahead! Thanks for sharing bits and pieces of your days and home scenes with us!

  4. Pam says:

Glad you’re home safe and sound. Travelling is great but it’s sooooooooooo nice to come home isn’t it 🙂

  5. I don’t know what makes me happier…knowing that you are home, or having Archives! Since I was one of those begging for Archives, I think I’ll have to go with that… Welcome home!!! I’m off to go read my favorites…

  6. Elly says:

No matter where you’ve traveled; “there’s no place like HOME”!
    Welcome Home and Happy Holidays!

  7. Charlene H. (S.F.Valley) SoCal says:

I am so thankful that you are safely HOME…doing what you do the bestest…sharing how to make all our homes a cozy haven for our loved ones! And…you are already back at work…though I am sure that you do not call it “work”! You always inspire me, Susan! ♥♥♥

  8. debbie says:

Hi Susan! Welcome Home!! Can I just say how happy I am that the blog now has archives?????? Yippeeeee!!! I really love going back and re-reading your posts. A little dose of happy whenever I need it 🙂 Happy kitty hugging and tree decorating! xoxo

    • sbranch says:

Feels like my blog is gone “professional” now, with all the bells and whistles working!

        • Helen Blount says:

Susan, just saw your book advertised in the latest “Tea Time” magazine….so my thoughtful daughter is getting it for me for Christmas! How do I sign up for the lovely tea set? Love your blogs and all you posts about your exciting life…Grandmother of 11 and greatmama of 6 with another on the way. Lovingly from a Southern Lady!!!

  9. Ann says:

Welcome Home Susan and Joe. I know just how you feel about being back home – and I’ve only been away a week! Loving your Archives, just been reading through those for December and wishing they were in book form so I could be reading them curled up in a cosy armchair in front of a roaring log fire instead of sat at a desk in front of a computer. That’s my suggestion for your next Christmas book and you’ve already done most of the work – how good is that? Hope you and Joe and your kitties have fun preparing for Christmas at home.
With love from Ann in Thame xx

  10. Deborah.T. Norling says:

The picture of Jack sleeping on your art table says it all….You are home safe and sound and all is right with the Universe !

  11. Marianne says:

I’m so excited! My girlfriend Linda actually got to one of your booksignings. We live cross country and she didn’t tell me she was going, so today when we picked up our mail and there was a box from her with A Fine Romance, signed by you, it was such a sweet surprise!! I’m so happy she got to meet you, and what a sweet friend! Can’t wait until she writes with all the details.

  12. Janet Conn says:

As Dorothy once said, “There’s no place like home.” I am glad you and Joe made it back home safely. I met you and Joe in Hudson, OH, and I am still giddy over that book signing.

I also owe you a BIG “thank you”. Years ago, I read your email or post talking about how much you like the movie “The Bishop’s Wife”. At the time, I had never seen it, but it soon became my favorite as well. This past Saturday, my husband and I went to see a local theater production of a remake of the original radio broadcast of “The Bishop’s Wife”. It was so enjoyable and I thought of you during the program and thought how grateful I am to you for introducing me to this wonderful holiday story. I wish you, Joe and the kitties a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

    Love,

    Janet Conn

  13. Jackie P says:

I bet the kitties are so comforted by the conversation surrounding them. The familiar sounds of their humans around the house. The air scented with good smells. Ahh, no place like home!

Am decorating the mantle for Christmas right now — little white votives, vintage white bottle-brush trees, antique cocoa cups with red and gold flowers. Have all the candles lit in hopes of being inspired to clean the rest of the room! Snow falling, pups sleeping, Christmas music in the background. Life is good. Welcome home!

  14. Sheri says:

So glad to hear you’re home! Glad for Kitty Girl and Jack. I know how they must have missed you. Personally, I like reading your blog wherever you may be, but I know the cats prefer you to be home!

  15. melissa quarles from montgomery ny says:

East, west, homes best! welcome back!!!!

  16. Vicki in Cincy says:

Welcome Home Susan and Joe! As others have said…it is wonderful to travel but coming home is awesome! I know it was a sweet reunion with the kitties, they missed you so much! I’ve got my fingers crossed that I get a cat for Christmas since I am still missing my Midge SO much. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy this wonderful season xoxo

  17. Mary says:

Welcome back. glad for your kitties!
    Mary

  18. Sara McKeefer says:

You do know how to make your girlfriends happy, Susan: 1. Arrive home safe and sound with your wonderful Joe; 2. Welcome us back to your homey home; 3. Give us some glimpses of Girl Kitty, Jack and Mini-Jack; and 4. teach us how to make the perfect grilled cheese sammie! You are a joy! And thanks so much for the archives, Susan. I’ve been a little under the weather lately, so I am SO looking forward to smiling a bunch while I read your heart. Happy Homecoming! ~ Sara ~

  19. Ginnie says:

So glad you are home safe and sound! Looking forward to more adventures from Susan & Joe.

  20. Mo'a says:

A very cozy post…home is always best 🙂 I am glad to see that Jack and Girl Kittie do not hold a grudge. My mother had a female cat, that used to ignore her for several days when my mother returned from a trip.
I have not received my Willard…I signed up when I ordered ‘A Fine Romance’ back in September. Should I e-mail the Studio?

  21. Ellie Gilroy says:

Susan, Delighted that you’re back at home in Massachusetts to celebrate the Christmas season. Meeting you for the first time at Titcomb’s Book Shop this past Saturday was such a joy!! I felt that we could have sat with a cup of tea and chatted forever…I’ve started reading “A Fine Romance” devouring and loving every page. If I keep this up at the pace I’m going, I will be finished by tomorrow…so I’ve stopped for now and instead have started reading your blogs from the beginning, I hope to pace myself better!! Merry Christmas to you and yours… xo

    • sbranch says:

Hi Ellie, that was fun wasn’t it! Love Titcombs, they always make everyone feel so welcome there. I’m happy you like the book!! Thank you xoxo

  22. Carilyn Wolski says:

Hello Susan! So glad Jack and Girl Kitty are still in love with you all over again!!! (Just a little question: When you iron your vintage tablecloths, do you use just the steam iron, or do you use spray starch, too?) I love the red cross-stitch pattern! So pretty! Can’t wait to see how you will set your table with it!
    Happy homemaking Susan!!!

    • sbranch says:

That tablecloth was sprinkled with water and rolled then ironed without starch. But I use the spray starch too sometimes.

  23. Margot in Virginia Beach says:

I am so glad to hear that you are home again!!! AND wildly domestic. That is the perfect term for what I am these days. LOL And loving it!

  24. Sue Rideout says:

Good Evening Susan! I took your advice and took the day off and decorated my whole house. My parents recently moved to an assisted living facility and we decorated their room this past weekend. My mom (who is 90) loves the colors and my dad (who is 84) picked out the decorations. He just beamed when we were done. You were so right. It’s all about celebrating now and not worrying about what will happen down the road. My father’s Hospice team truly are wonderful people. So kind and understanding. Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement (along with other girlfriends). Even though we have never met, you really helped me. I’m even thinking about starting some baking this week!

    • sbranch says:

Good girl, as long as there is a sun, let it shine! On you and on your dad. Make you warm, cozy, filled with light. Blessings on you all.

  25. Connie Sue says:

So glad your home with Jack and Girl Kitty and surrounded by the things you love! I love all the pictures! Big Hug!

    Connie Sue!

  26. Pam Fortune says:

    Hi Susan
Glad you are home safe and sound and enjoying your beautiful home again with the kitties. The weather in the U.K. today is gorgeous sun shine I hope we can have a mild winter this year. It will soon be Christmas and I am looking forward to staying with my middle daughter Antonia and her husband and my two grandchildren Imogen and Maxim. I am not heading north to Scotland to stay with Fleur as I can’t face the journey, I am still trying to get my strength back. My youngest daughter Penny came up from the Forest of Dean this weekend with my eldest granddaughter Robyn so we had a great weekend together. I taught Robyn how to make friendship bracelets so she went into overdrive to make as many as possible with my embroidery silks. Family time is very precious as you move into your twilight years and a good time was had by all. Christmas greetings to you and Joe and all the girlfriends and a very happy and healthy new year.

    • sbranch says:

The names of your “fortunate” family are beautiful — Fleur, Imogen and Maxim, Penny and Robyn, love them. Keep feeling better Pam!

      • Pam Fortune says:

Thanks Susan. Today I got a lovely surprise sent through the post, a can of root beer so I am saving it for warmer weather and then trying it with ice cream for your root beer float. Fleur keeps sending me daily surprises because we won’t be together at Christmas. They are going to Palm Springs in California soon after Christmas for the Film Festival. Yesterday I received a lovely packaged box of mince pies from the famous Betty’s Cafe, did you visit one whilst in Yorkshire? The day before it was a special jar of honey from Fortnum and Mason in London. How blessed am I?

  27. Welcome Home! Those are some of the nicest words in the English language.
So nice to go, better still to return. 🙂
I would make this cake for you and Joe if we were neighbors 😉 :

Have a wonderful time relaxing in the coziness of your own beautiful space.

  28. Becky Maggio says:

ARCHIVES!!! YAY!!! One of the greatest Christmas gifts you could have given us 🙂 It’s like a dear, old friend we get to visit when we need them the most, when we need a little inspiration, motivation, a hug, a smile, a reminder how truly blessed we are. Thank you! I agree with everyone else…we loved our travels with you and Joe, but it is SO good to be back home on MV. Warm holiday wishes to you and yours. We are bundled up today in the deep south, enjoying coffee by the fireplace, the soft glow of Christmas lights, counting our blessings and sending heartfelt holiday wishes to all the girlfriends.

Stay warm everyone! Becky & Papa

  29. Tawni urrutia says:

    Dear Sweet Susan,
What a wonderful way to kick off the Christmas season, coming H❤ME! It’s been so fun sharing your adventures, but I just love knowing your back on the island making magic. Thank you for the archives, super fun revisiting past posts…not mention a great shot in the arm of Susan Branchiness when your tending to all the other irons in your fire besides the blog!

  30. Mary from NJ says:

So wonderful to be home again…and especially at this season! Thank you, thank you, thank you for archiving—can’t wait to just access past posts easily….I too want to kiss each of sweet Jack’s little soft paws–he is precious. And I just love Girl Kitty, too! Sandwich is where we went to the antique shop when we were at the cape last summer….and we had to have lunch while in “Sandwich”, right? 🙂 The welcoming red plaid chair Elizabeth is so fortunate to be seated in looks like a big welcoming blanket—would love to cozy up in it with a steaming cuppah tea! As I write this, I too am enjoying being all domestic while it is so beautifully snowing outside…. Just want to end with a hearty “Welcome Home!” xoxoxo

  31. E. Eastman says:

I loaded the wallpaper photo of your MV home on my work computer and one of the wreaths on the front door is exactly in line with my desktop icons. I wonder if I click on the wreath if I will get snow and chickadees. Oh, wait a minute! That is my view outside my office window – snow from our Friday snowstorm, fat scrub jays and robins sitting in the trees, and a flock of chickadees that hop around the courtyard searching for seeds. Magic!!! (Hard to work with all this going on!)

  32. Jan says:

    Susan,
So glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. It’s always good to go HOME. All of that comfort food sounds so good! Sooo cold and windy here. I made vegetable beef soup yesterday. Yummy! Have been busy trying to get my Christmas decorations up too. Just finished skyping with our three grown children, as was our youngest son’s birthday. What a wonderful thing! Anyway, happy for you that you are HOME!
    Jan

  33. Darlene says:

Welcome home Susan, just like to say thank you for helping to lift my spirits with all you so thoughtfully share. Peace to you and all xoxo

  34. Denise from Wpg, Canada says:

Thank you so much for posting all your blogs , I missed a couple of years ! and am having fun catching up.
    Lovely idea !

  35. Marie says:

Ah, there’s no place like home! I enjoyed watching your travels. I’m so understanding your kitty because even if we are gone for the day ours follows us around. I can just imagine if he could talk you would hear how very much he missed you.

  36. Pat Stansel says:

Thank you so much for putting up the archives link ! It is really wonderful looking back at the past posts. I know it was a lot of work to do it, but it’s so worth it .

  37. Welcome home. It looks so cosy! Question: I want to make your chocolate dipped coconut macaroons and it calls for flake coconut. Is this sweetened or unsweetened? Thanks!! Pam, in Montreal

  38. Dawn (Elmhurst, IL) says:

So very glad that you are all cozy and warm at home, Susan! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Chicagoland. ♫ ♬ Brrrr! I just finished shoveling and am warming up with tea and our blog. This afternoon, I’m going to bake Rachel’s Lemon Cookies for my Christmas Tea on Sunday afternoon. Just wondering… What are your very favorite things to serve at a Christmas Tea??
Heartfelt thanks for the wonderful archives! I’ve already started way back at the beginning!
    Warm hugs!
    Dawn
    ♡♡

    • sbranch says:

Probably things with cranberries in it… I would use the cranberry orange Marmalade jam on maybe heart shaped chocolate chip scones. There are just too darn many choices! You are going to have so much fun and Rachel’s cookies could not be more perfect.

I love the heavy spray starch they make now… I will also, sometimes, do the old fashioned starch mixed with water. That table cloth I had sprinkled and wrapped and put in the fridge, so it was nicely damp and I didn’t use starch on it. Thank you Carilyn!

  40. FarmGirlGeorgie says:

    WELCOME HOME SUSAN and JOE

How FUN to be back to domesticity!!!

    XOXO Georgie

  41. Karen J says:

    Dear Susan
I want to thank you for getting those archives on your website. I just discovered your blog about three months ago and have read every post since then. Now I can go back a see what I’ve missed! It’s like a lovely Christmas gift. Whenever I find myself getting stressed by all the holiday preparations, I try to take a little computer break and read a few of the older entries. The stress disappears like magic!
I loved following your travels on the book tour but I’m glad you are at home in your beautiful house. I have to tell you that I am in love with Jack and would like to have kissed those pretty paws. I had to substitute my own two kitties instead but they have cute paws too.
You can count me in as one of the girlfriends. I LOVE your writing!

  42. Susan W says:

Welcome back to the Island. Love all the stories. I’ve been baking too; mostly just to keep the kitchen warmed up. Today it’s a whopping 14 degrees now. Probably the warmest it’ll be all day. More snow to arrive too. One question: would you be so kind as to create another “moon” book mark for your readers to enjoy? I know it’s too late to ask but you’ve been away. I love using them all year. Merry Christmas

  43. Just looks like a little slice of heaven. I received your book in the mail last week and it’s beautiful! It’s one of the gifts I’m giving my mom.

  44. Linda Smith says:

Thank you for adding Archives! Whenever I want a pick-me-up I look at your older posts after enjoying the current ones. Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2014!

  45. N. Jean says:

Glad you are home and safe, preparing for Christmas. I love looking at the Archives, even though I print every blog you post. I love the Christmas ones, I use them for inspiration.

  46. Sharon in Florida says:

    Hi Susan!
So glad to hear you and Joe made it home safe and sound. You must have been ecstatic to see your little babies again I’m sure, not to mention just being back home again, and just in time for Christmas. The main street in your town must look beautiful all decorated for Christmas. I’d love to see it if you get a chance to take a few pictures next time you go through there. I’m originally from Maine and I do miss the snow and cold at Christmas. It’s just not the same in Florida. Enjoy being home with your kitties Susan and doing all your fun holiday stuff! Hugs from Sharon in Florida.

    • sbranch says:

I will do that Sharon … I took a few last night in the dark in Edgartown — it’s all lit up and gorgeous, but hard to “catch” in a photo. I get some more soon.

  47. Hi Susan! I need to read your post again as there is so much to see and enjoy! But just shortly I like to say that you have my mug! Some years ago I was in England at my sisters’ wedding and I bought two ‘Garden Birds’ cups from Harrods (my souvenir tradition) and mine is the ‘Chaffinch’! Now I love it even more! I’ll think that we have coffee/tea party together! x Teje

  48. Welcome back home! Oh this does my heart good to know you are safely back home to nest for the Winter months with all near and dear to you. I am making a roasted chicken, cole slaw, steamed carrots and baked red potatoes today and my home is warm and snuggly. My cat, Little Guy, is on a quilt nearby taking in all the wonderful smells wafting in the kitchen. This made me think of you, dear Susan and girlfriends and I came to the blog for sustainence (sp?). I feel whole once more. I’ll fix a cup of tea and read everyone’s posts. Have a blessed day.

  49. Jack says:

Oh yes ,”Tis’ the SEASON ” –Good News ! more Snow on the way !! — Snow-Plow in the
Ditch ….I knew I should have bought kleenex — now where was that darn garden -Joe can you shovel us a tunnel ? How much was that bill for heating oil -did he say there is more snow coming ? I think it’s blocking my computer ……did you get the tv back on ? And yes ,

You know what ? It’s 72 in California…Joe the downstairs toilet is leaking ….of course called the plumber he can’t get out and he’s already booked for three days ….of course I haveTea but the water pipe is frozen … Certainly we can go Caroling -we just sing to them on their balconies that’s all. Well can’ t you find any of the newspapers? I know it’ s only five more days ’til Winter !

  50. Toni from Sylvania OH says:

Dear Susan…as I was reading the blog, I can across a picture of a stack of books, and I see one named MOM. This is new to me and just wanted to find out a little more about it and where I can buy it. love to you and Joe, Toni

    • sbranch says:

Scroll down HERE and you’ll see the Mom book. You can get it from us … but I’m not sure where else. We don’t manufacture it, so we’re not in charge of where it’s sold. Hope this helps Toni!

  51. EsSuzy (from South Carolina) says:

Welcome home Susan! I hear the “marshmellow world” song whenever I see a photo of the snowy view outside your kitchen window. The main purpose of this comment is to shout out for help to all the California girlfriends. Since Susan says if you can dream you can make it so and for years I’ve been dreaming of seeing the Rose Parade in person, I AM going this year!!!! I’ll be flying into San Diego after Christmas and after two days there, it’s up to Pasadena for four days, going behind the scenes to see flower filled floats assembled (THRILLED!!) and then in the grandstands early in the a.m. Jan. 1 for the parade. Here’s where I need help, in my 59 years I have never! been to California, and though I’m watching wunderground and the weather channel websites, I need girlfriend advice about the kind of clothes to pack. Any advice will be appreciated. By the way, the theme of the parade this year?…..Dreams Come True!! Just typing this has gotten me even more excited. Thank you all in advance. SusanL

    • sbranch says:

It can be hot and it can be cold. So take something really warm for the parade, just in case. Thick socks, a scarf, anything to put on, just in case. Layers. Take sweaters, t-shirts, very casual in California almost everywhere you go. Be comfortable. How fun for you! Be sure to go around “Old Pasadena” — beautiful old houses to see there. Also there are a couple of wonderful museums right there too.

  52. Linda K Foster says:

It was so relaxing to read your blog today! I loved your “if you could dinner dates!” I would have to go with my top pick being Gladys Taber! Thanks for all the writing you do! It’s wonderful! Single digits here in Michigan but beautiful sunshine today. Hope to see the full moon. Looking forward to more great news! Welcome home! Be it ever so humble there’s no place like HOME!

    • sbranch says:

Full moon woke me right up very early. I was almost daylight in our room.

      • Alison in RI says:

        Hi Susan,

Same here! It was absolutely glowing here last night, especially with the white of the snow.. there was something scary about it, yet so beautiful. The woods and field in back of my house were just so still and quiet except for the owl… New England Winter Magic! 🙂

        — Alison in “Little Rhody”

  53. Toni from Sylvania OH says:

Thanks Susan…I see the book is like memories to be filled in…right? Toni

  54. ROBIN PETERS says:

Susan, Merry Christmas! You’re the reason I know about, The Bishop’s Wife! Thank you!

  55. Barbara Seman says:

    Hi Susan & Joe,
Merry Christmas from sunny Long Beach Ca.
I love the Cardinals out your kitchen window – wish we had them here!
    Happy New Year too!
    ♥ Girlfriend – Barbara

  56. Patty Pisces says:

    Dear Susan~
I discovered your books October 2013, looking for some comfort & warmth. Your Autumn book was just the ticket! Anyone that can quote Erma Bombeck & Kathleen Thompson Norris is my kind of gal.
I loved your England book and was the first one to request it from my library. I was enchanted by it. The best thing, as a Bibliophile & Anglophile, was, it had a Bookmark! Oh my.
My ancestors on my Mother’s side are from Folkestone. My mom, sister, & I visited when I was 13 years old. I remember Carnabry Street & my first mini-skirt!

  57. Laurene Shewan says:

Happy belated Birthday. I’ve been buying your books for years and am enjoying your blog. I’m planning a 70th birthday bash, for all the ladies who’ve helped me get through life; a high tea with all the trimmings. Thinking it will be so much fun!

We went to Concord last year and visited a number of historical sites, including the Alcott’s home. I was watching one version of Little Women on tv, and noticed that it appeared to have been filmed there. If you can find that version, it is fun to watch.
