I just purchased your 2013 calendar and could not WAIT to read it….sorry but it is always so adorable I read the year ahead and then read it over and over again when I put it up for the year. I love your, I guess, “pun” of Mark Twain’s quote in May about “For all the talk you hear about….” where you said “…instink…” is worth forty”…. Cute. I have collected your books and works for years. Thank you for adding music to your blog pages. Since we are about the same age, the music always brings back fond memories. May God bless you this Christmas and always, Susan Branch!

Actually that is what he really said! Another of the 6 billion reasons to love Mark Twain! Cuteness! Thank you Cate!

    Dear Susan,
I made your darling little Merry Christmas banner yesterday. Only I didn’t have any card stock so I use a piece of matte white photo paper. It was just sturdy enough. And I used a blue marker and blue ribbon (to match the color scheme in my kitchen). My daughter stopped in and said “I like that!”. So charming, so simple. Thanks. Just what Christmas should be about. Simple things that bring joy.

Hi Susan! I have been a devoted fan of yours since your very first book. Thank you for all you do and for this wonderful blog….every post a treasure. Recently, I read this quote and thought of you…perhaps you have already heard it?? “I’ve always liked the time before dawn because there’s no one around to remind me who I’m supposed to be so it’s easier to remember who I am.” Brian Andreas Happy December! xox

I love Brian Andreas! He hits the nail on the head…no better time to be yourself than just before dawn! Thank you Linda!

Hi Susan! your banner is a huge hit! I sent a photo to several friends, met with some the next day and one already had one made. I needed red ribbon, ran out for some, borrowed decorative scissors and made one last night and it is hanging at the top of a tall bookcase and oh it looks so charming! Amazing how something so simple can be so wonderful. One girlfriend thought the photo was so cute so she was on her way to make one. Thank you so much!! xox from an expatriated Californian in the very far northwest. ~~ I’m making another one for the friend who loaned me the scissors. She has a shop and it will look wonderful at the top of the mirror behind her counter!
